September 9-11 (note the change; this is NOT
Labor Day weekend):
17th Annual Camp Ray-Ray
Rocketing Forward into New Frontiers!:
"My favorite part of Camp Ray-Ray is knowing there are people out there
like you, that you can be yourself and not worry about things. Like a Great Big
Family." This is the 17th Annual free family camp, celebrating the
goal of rocketing forward into new frontiers! Up to 20 families and over 30
volunteers will gather to celebrate life and join to provide encouragement and
support to children living with HIV/AIDS. A few things are different this year.
First, we are moving to a NEW location to the
YMCA's Snow Mountain Ranch near Grandby,
CO. Second, the date has changed to the weekend AFTER Labor Day. It was the best
weekend we could get at the new facility. At the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch, we
will have a cargo load of free activities, including roller skating, swimming
(indoor pool), multiple on-site hiking trails, and miniature golf, just to name
a few. Plus, there is horseback riding on-site, a challenge course, and a
zip-line that we are trying to work into the budget or may be available for a
fee. We also have reservations at a brand new lodge with many fine amenities.
Please join us as we bid a fond farewell to our first home and joyfully begin to
make Snow Mountain Ranch our new home.
Remember to turn in your application by the deadline of
June 1st, 2011! A $25 deposit is required with registration (all families this
year - all deposits will be returned upon arrival at Camp Ray-Ray).

December
11th, 2:00-4:00 PM:
Holiday
Party with Family/Volunteer Gift Exchange:
Enjoy food, games, swimming, and fellowship at Angels Unaware's
annual holiday party. Re-connecting with family and friends
(volunteers) during the holiday is a great way to
celebrate and acknowledge the support and kindness shown through
AU and Camp Ray-Ray. AU will bring food and beverages for the
party. Bring a family gift to participate in the family gift exchange!
This year, the family gift should be a re-gift or a homemade
gift. (Please do not go out and purchase a gift; $10 in value
limit.) We will meet at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center (4005
Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033). RSVP by phone or email
is required by December 3, including how many adults and
children under 12 will attend and how many are swimming. Volunteers are encouraged to
attend, but please RSVP! ~Kids can swim in the leisure pool,
which includes a 120 foot water slide, a frog slide for the
little ones, fountains, tumble buckets, and the lazy river. Kids
under 5 who swim must be accompanied by an adult and children
under 8 must be supervised by an adult. ~
