February 24, 2-4 PM: Family Bowling Party: We will meet at Elitch Lanes for family fun to throw some bowling balls down an alley, hopefully laying down a couple of pins in the process! RSVP to Angels Unaware by February 22nd via telephone or email. Elitch Lanes is located at 3825 Tennyson Street, Denver, 80212, (303) 477-1633.

 

 

April 27th, 2-4 pm: Cookie Share and Pottery Painting: We will be snacking on delicious cookies of almost every kind while we try our hands at creating some colorful pottery pieces. All painting supplied will be provided by Into the Fir, so the only thing to bring is two dozen (24) cookies and you will leave with two dozen different cookies. We will meet at Into the Fire in Olde Town Arvada, 7409 Grandview Avenue, Arvada, 80002, (303) 423-9864. RSVP required by April 25 at 5 PM!! Volunteers are welcome, but please RSVP.

 

May 18th, running races start at 6 AM:  Colorado Colfax Marathon: The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon includes a full marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5-person team relay (individual legs of 10K, 5K, 10K, 5K, and 12K).

  

 

August: Family Putt Putt Golf Fun(d) Raiser: Details of this are still to be determined. We hope to have a collaborative event raising funds for Camp Ray Ray while hitting golf balls through windmills and tunnels. Check back for new information! .

 

August 29 - September 1: 14th Annual Honoring Family Cultures and Traditions Camp Ray-Ray: "My favorite part of Camp Ray-Ray is knowing there are people out there like you, that you can be yourself and not worry about things. Like a Great Big Family." Welcome to the 14th Annual Camp Ray-Ray. Up to 20 families and over 30 volunteers will gather Labor Day Weekend to provide encouragement and support to children living with HIV/AIDS. This year's activities include: horseback riding, talent show, volleyball, bowling, letterboxing (hiking with a treasure hunt twist), Weird Science with Peter, Pee Wee pajama party, dancing, massages, hair cuts, face painting, mini-Olympics, trip to Estes Park, Remembrance Ceremony, and FIESTA NIGHT. Remember to turn in your application by July 1, 2008 (no exceptions).

 

 

Saturday, September 6, at 9 AM: 21st Annual Colorado AIDS Walk:

Angels Unaware is a partner and will benefit from Colorado AIDS Walk. Walk or help raise donations for this important event, starting at Cheesman Park (Denver). You can register to walk for Angels Unaware at www.aidswalkcolorado.org. Make sure you designate Angels Unaware as your team! "We have not yet defeated AIDS, but together we can make a difference."

 

 

December 7, 2-4 PM: Holiday Party with Family/Volunteer Gift Exchange:   Spending time together to celebrate the end of the year, this is a fun time of fellowship with friends and family including gifts and treats to share! A family/volunteer gift exchange at White Fence Farm will be our holiday celebration! RSVP by phone or email will be required, including how many adults and children under 12 will attend. Volunteers are encouraged to attend, but please RSVP!
